MONARCH SYSTEMS is raising the bar on mobile healthcare around the world– growing beyond the simple flexibility offered in current mobile solutions and giving serious consideration to the healing environment and its patients. We feel strongly that the sustainability and success of such global efforts resides in the level of treatment received in tandem with the quality of the environment where treatment occurs. At MONARCH SYSTEMS, we believe that long-lasting value depends on bringing these two elements to the communities served, delivering healthcare on a higher level, hand-in-hand with a healing, therapeutic guest experience equivalent to the best hospitals in the world.
We began with a clean slate, examining the limitations of mobile solutions, defining boundaries and extending possibilities. Next, we began looking for as many opportunities for natural light and space-making as possible. We developed new trailer types with telescoping clerestories and full side glass panels. We introduced Spevco’s mobile stage trailers to create outdoor plazas and arrival areas. We developed a 5-unit “plug-and-play” system arranged with a functioning “race-track” concept that captures courtyards, allowing for natural light and landscaping. The end result is a comprehensive mobile healthcare solution: MObile Nomadic ARCHitecture.
From the initial design effort, market demand led us to develop smaller outreach facilities. Some are single unit trailers while others scale up to 10-unit suites specifically tailored for specialized patient care. For instance, a Women’s Health Clinic focuses on women’s health and includes mammography, ultrasound, stereotactic, and bone density scanning. The 5-unit clinic can be shut down in one location, mobilized, and re-opened in 2 days. This would allow the clinicians to do follow up care and maintain valuable and consistent communication with the patients as the clinic rotates through their community on a regular basis.
An additional modality is one of a ‘flagship hospital’. The outreach model works as a component to a flagship teaching hospital – an in situ facility that is sponsored and supported by a university healthcare program, educating the medical population abroad to provide Westernized healthcare within the boundaries of their community. The flagship hospital serves as a docking station for mobile outreach. These outreach units are staffed with local healthcare professionals who have been educated by the sponsoring institution, and services remote areas out of the hospital’s reach. This is the future of how Westernized healthcare gets taken abroad.
MONARCH SYSTEMS is improving the quality of life, locally and around the world.
